Taylor: During my years raising money for Team Diabetes Canada I’ve pushed myself harder and harder to reach ever loftier goals in both my running and fundraising efforts. In 2006 I raised $6000 and completed the 10km race in Iceland. 2008 saw me bring that total to $12,500 and finish the half marathon in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Now in 2009, my final effort, I intend to complete my goal of attaining a personal best of $20,000 raised in support of diabetes research in Canada. It is fitting that upon completion of my fund raising goals I’ll follow the victory trail of the first marathon runner ever from the beaches of Marathon to Athens, Greece. I’m well on the road to achieving these goals but will need your help to see them through. I’ll handle the running part but any donations made in any amount, will go a long way to furthering both my race to Athens and the Race for the Cure.
